Introduction to the Activities & Grants Database
This section of the web site contains information about PCV projects and
grants received to support those projects. Note: You must be
logged in in order to access this section of the
web site.
In this section of the web site, PCVs and PC staff members can:
- View & Search the database for information about projects and grants.
This information can be viewed in either summary or detail form. You can choose to
view all records in the database or search for those that are of interest to you.
To view or search the database, go to the "View &
Search the Database" page.
- Print information about projects and grants in either detail
or summary format. To print project and grant information, go to the
"View & Search the Database" page, find
the information you want to print and click on the print
icon. In summary format, you can choose to print all, or only selected
summaries.
- Save either detailed or summary information about projects and
grants for later reference. To save information, go to the
"View & Search the Database" page, find
the information you want (either detail or summary) and and RIGHT-click on the save
icon. The information will be converted into Rich Text Format (RTF) and can
be opened and edited in Microsoft Word, Windows WordPad and many other word
processors.
- Download the full grant document, if available. If the full
document is available, a link will appear in both the detail and summary formats of the
grant record. Users can click (or preferably right-click) on this
link to download the document. These documents can be very helpful for
those preparing new grant applications. To download documents, first
go to the "View & Search the Database" page.
- Add information about their own projects or grants, so the information
will be available to other PCVs. Once you complete the data entry form
on the "Add Information" page
your information will be entered into the database and will be available for
all logged-in users.
- Edit information previously added to the database. As long
as you log in with the same user name you used to add the original information
to the database, you will be able to edit that information. So, don't worry
about making mistakes. You can always correct them. To do so, find your
project in the "View & Search the Database" page, then
click on the edit
icon.
- Grasp the overall picture. By visiting the Summary
Data page, logged-in users can get a bird's eye view of project and grant data, sorted
by oblast, year, PC group and a number of other factors. If you want a closer view, clicking
on the relevant link will take you to a detailed view of underlying data.
