The volunteer website of Peace Corps Ukraine is celebrating its 5th birthday by getting a complete overhaul!

The pcukraine.org site was created in 2006 by a few dedicated volunteers who wanted to create a place to share information with fellow volunteers, Ukrainians, and Peace Corps invitees. The old site has served its purpose well, but now – five years later – the time has come for a major update. The Technology for Development Group – the volunteer working group in charge of pcukraine.org – has been hard at work for several months, and they're finally ready to give volunteers their new website.

The new site is not just easier on the eyes than the old pcukraine.org, it's also easier to use. Some features of the new site include:

• Simplified navigation and improved menus
• Quick links to most often-used content on the front page
• Completely up-to-date information
• Upgraded back-end software to improve security
• Revamped Tourism Info site
• Retooled and simplified Materials Database
• More useable Grants Database and Success Stories tool

In addition to all that, pcukraine.org will use its front page to periodically feature articles from the Nu Shcho volunteer newsletter, along with other Peace Corps Ukraine news of interest to the general public.

Members of the Technology for Development Group hope that, with this overhaul, pcukraine.org will once again be a valuable resource to current and future volunteers, as well as Ukrainians interested in the Peace Corps.
