In addition to their normal work at their sites, many volunteers join Working Groups. Volunteer Working Groups are formed around a wide variety of issues, but, in general, they seek to improve the Peace Corps program in Ukraine. They create resources and carry out projects to support volunteers, organize nationwide initiatives, and allow volunteers to build relationships and trade ideas.

The Business and Economic Development Working Group (BEDWG) is committed to contributing to Ukraine’s economic development through increasing awareness and education in Ukraine regarding business, entrepreneurship, personal and global finance, and international economic institutions.
The Collaborative is a unique working group that promotes localized opportunities for professional development and resource sharing.
The Environmental Working Group in Ukraine assists volunteers as they promote environmental awareness in their communities and live environmentally conscious lives
The Gender and Development Council (GAD) is a worldwide Peace Corps working group that focuses on issues of gender equality and womens empowerment in developing nations.
The Healthy Lifestyles Working Group (HLWG) aims to cooperate with volunteers to promote community outreach and encourage education about topics such as anti-smoking, drugs and alcohol, mental health, nutrition, fitness, and positive relationships.
The HIV/AIDS Working Group brings together interested volunteers to help plan and assist other volunteers throughout Ukraine working in every project sector to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS in their communities.
The Law & Justice Working Group focuses on the rule of law as paramount to the development of a sustainable democracy and the protection of human rights.
The LGBT Support Group is designed to act as a support network for the LGBT Peace Corps Ukraine community.

The Roma Working Group is committed to expanding access to education and civil society among one of Eastern Europe's most historically disadvantaged and persecuted minorities.
The Safety and Security Council works to increase the overall safety and security of volunteers in Ukraine through the education and promotion of safe behavior.
The mission of the Technology for Development Group is to help volunteers help Ukrainians through the use of technology.
