Safety and Security Council

Mission

The SSC works to increase the overall safety and security of volunteers in Ukraine. Through increased awareness and education on high-risk situations, and promotion of safe behaviors, we aim to reduce instances involving volunteers being victimized to zero.
The SSC is also responsible for the Confidential Peer Response (CPR) Hotline where volunteers can confidentially consult a trained peer about issues they are not comfortable discussing with Peace Corps Ukraine headquarters.

Activities

Some of the current projects that the Safety and Security Council is working on include:

  • Confidential Peer Response Hotline
  • Safety Video for Training
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response
  • Cell Phone Recycler Program
  • Updating and Improving Training Safety Materials
  • Develop Safety Materials for PCV Life
